This is part two of my walk to the Trig Point on the Southdowns over Sompting, in West Sussex. Having left the trig at the top of the chalky hill, I am making my way around the more muddier bottom of the hill and heading back to my car.
I am curious to see the state of the trees and examine a Hawthorn and ash tree on route. The sun is shining, which is rare this winter, but few people are out exploring this wonderful range of undulating hills.
