I have been curious what farmers in England are doing to protect the wildlife in the country.
The period after the Second World War saw intensive farming remove hedgerows, combine smaller fields into larger ones, the increase usage of pesticides and herbicides and other such horrors which changed the face of the traditional farming landscape.
I am visiting Strood Farm in West Sussex to learn how farmers are attracting birds and bees back to the land again. Lee Dallyn, the farmer here, shows me around his farm, and reveals the lengths they go these days to support wildlife.
