On Saturday 26th May (tomorrow, as I write this) Julia Hartley-Neal and myself will be decked in Regency costume. Our Bald Explorer LIVE presentation is coming from The Regency Town House in Brunswick Square, Hove, East Sussex. Part museum, part restoration project, the magnificent Georgian terraced house is open to the public from 11am to 4pm. The day offers a chance for the curious to take a peek within the decadent life style of the rich and famous during the reign of the Prince Regent, and later king George IV.
Not only can visitors explore the many floors of the magnificent period house that is undergoing painstaking restoration, but also experience culinary delights conjured up by historic chef, Paul Couchman, as they wonder around. On hand are expert volunteers to answer questions about the project and the history of the house.
Julia and I are presenting a Facebook LIVE show at 3am (BST) for an hour in full costume. It will be broadcast from the Bald Explorer page. Do join us if you can – or watch the recorded rerun at your leisure.
