The Sussex Border Walk – Part Eight: The Pumps and Flint in East Preston

I am continuing my Sussex Border Walk, but I have missed out Ferring and Kingston Gorse. The reason is simply that during Lockdown One I walked through these areas – video links below – and I didn’t think it necessary to repeat myself. So I resume in East Preston.
In this episode, I discover the 1930s petrol pumps of an old restored garage, repurposed farm buildings, the school that is now and estate agent and the Three Crowns is no longer an inn. I pass a prolific authoress’s house from the 19th Century and end up searching for a stone spire.
