And not just lame because I can barely walk!
I set off today to find a grave, but because much recent back issue played up I found I couldn’t walk another ten feet. Pausing and doing some exercises, I knew I need to abort my mission and come home, but evening doing that was difficult.
I am off to Broadwater Cemetery in Broadwater, near Worthing in West Sussex. The reason I chose to go there today was to visit the grave of Richard Jefferies, the 19th century naturalist, conservationist and writer. He moved to Goring in the 1980s to take the air, suffering from tuberculosis as he was, but sadly died shortly after. He was buried in Broadwater Cemetery.
