Julia and I have decided to explore the local scenery close to us. Julia lives near the Wide Water Lagoon in Lancing, West Sussex, and the shingle beach beyond. We thought it was worth a short exploration because when we started the weather wasn’t great and I was keen to demonstrate the sheer drama of the slate skies and the thundering seas. The weather improved as the walk went on, although we both got more damp the longer we stayed.
