The Wealden Walks Explored in Laughton East Sussex


The lovely Cynthia Julian and I are in Laughton, East Sussex. Having made a video with Eric Wilkins about his war time memories of the village, we decided to take short stroll along the Wealden Walk at the west end of All Saint’s church.

Wealden District Council, with the help of each of the 42 parishes in the area and supported by the Heritage Lottery Fund, has established the Wealden Walks.Over 150 miles of the existing public rights of way network, some of which was previously underused, have provided a means of viewing and understanding Wealden’s natural and historic landscapes.

We discover some fabulous hazel, oak and cherry on route as well as Sussex cattle.
