Why an Enigma? Bognor Regis had everything going for it when Sir Richard Hotham set it up as a place of relaxation and health, and yet, in his lifetime it never quite made it as he desired to rival Brighton and Worthing. However, from the Victorian period, and especially after a visit from King George V and his apparent seal of approval with the addition of ‘Regis’, it has prospered.
