Due to the grim weather, I am inside examining my joy, and the expertise of the skilled craftsmen, including my lovely new hand-knitted jumpers. I am asking whether we are losing the individual creative power we once had when, using our hands and a few tools, we made things, and when we made these things, reaffirming how satisfied and content we were with our achievements.
Maybe the current ‘lockdown’ restrictions have given us an opportunity to discover these old crafts and skills, and reawakened contentment in our lives?
