The Quest For England – In Which I Go On A Recce to Match Some Pictures

I am out on a morning’s recce for my In Search of Sussex series, following in the footsteps of Arthur Stanley Cooke. Today I want to find the view-points that Arthur and his photographer friend, Mr Swain, I believe, stood when making a couple of sketches for the book, Off The Beaten Track. It’s been 100 years since he made the drawings and a lot can change. I start my investigation on The Green in Southwick, near Shoreham in West Sussex.
