The Quest For England – In Which I Follow An Ancient Track to Portslade

In today’s episode, I continue to explore the ‘Port’s Road’, the ancient track that passes through Hangleton and Portslade. The Iron Age trackway passes Hangleton Manor, where Arthur Stanley Cooke, the author of Off the Beaten Track, started his walk in Chapter 4 of his book that I am following. To understand the area better take the route to see how it has changed since publication of Arthur’s book in 1910.
