The Quest For England – In Which I Explore the North End of Stanmer Park

I have returned to the South Downs north of Brighton, and once again have taken a path through Stanmer Park along a pretty woodland path. This is a delightful route through what is a 300 year old planted wood, as far as I understand, in which some of the original trees have succumbed. Their fallen remains and route bowls pepper the woodland.
