I have come to Bury in West Sussex, close to Amberley and Arundel, to look for a pub that no longer exists, a ferry that closed in the sixties and a church that is actually open.
I am following in the footsteps of author, R Thurston Hopkins, who wrote a book called, The Lure of Sussex. He took the ferry across the Arun and had a drink in the Dog and Duck. How much has changed?
