The Quest For England in Which I clamber Up Amberley Mount

Today I am taking a walk on the South Downs, above Amberley in West Sussex. This site has chalk grassland and scrub on the slope of the South Downs. It has several unusual butterflies, moths and snails, including the light feathered rustic and juniper carpet moths and the rare Adonis blue butterfly. Sadly I didn’t see any of these, but it was a jolly nice day in the November sunshine.
