The Black Houses of Telegraph Track

Today I have met up with artist, composer and film maker, Andrew Norris, who wanted to show the Homes for Heroes near Wallington, in Greater London. These houses built along Telegraph Track were allocated to soldiers awarded for gallantry during the First World War.

They are clad in black timber. Andrew explains why they all look so distinctive while we take a stroll among them.
