I am back on the Sussex Border Walk, or Borderlands, as I am now referring to it. Picking up my journey a little north of Compton, the last place I visited, and heading out along the official Sussex Border Path through Lady Holt Park – where in 1748 the notorious smugglers, the Hawkhurst Gang, tortured and murdered two men.
