My father died from dementia two and a half years ago, and my sister and I were left his house, which we have agreed to sell. But the process has been difficult and not helped by being caught in a long chain.
Today, I go back to look at Dad’s house which waits desperately for its new owners to check on its condition. However, with the recent Covid19 outbreak and the government advising estate agents not to proceed with completions because it breaks with their guidelines to ‘Stay at Home’ we are left in limbo. There is also a suspicion that after the crisis there will be a slump in the market. Let’s hope not.
