I am exploring the Southdowns Way and in this video I take a short walk from the jack and Jill windmills above Clayton in East Sussex to wonderful beauty spot, Ditchling Beacon.
It’s a cold, reasonably bright winter’s morning and the walk is probably only a mile and a half, but there is plenty to see on route. Along this section of the famous 100 mile path are a couple of dew ponds, tumulus, terrific views and grazing cattle. I start by the fabulous Jill windmill, which I was lucky enough to see working – the sails turning on the hillside is beautiful thing to behold.
