Binsted Woods, in West Sussex, are under threat. The highways Agency propose driving a new A27 Arundel bypass through them destroying ancient woodland, neolithic earthworks and long established track-ways from Saxon times. Julia and I visit the part of the woodland earmarked for tarmac and chat to Emma Tristram about the impending horror that will bisect the woods and decimate the local wildlife.
