Rambles Round Willow Farm

The book Rambles Round Willow Farm by Arthur O. Cooke was published before the First World War and tells of life on a farm in the West Country. Written for children, along with a series of other countryside books, the author introduces youngsters to rural life away from the large towns and cities.

For us, over 100 years later, it reveals in simple language an insight to a working farm in a period before tractors and automation; a time when the countryside was full of labourers earning a living from the land, and long before supermarkets could bring you everything you could wish for from around world.
