I am thrilled to announce that the Bald Explorer Live Show will be streaming from The Regency Town House on Saturday 19th May 2018 at 3pm on our Facebook page.

Paul Couchman, one of the restoration volunteers, has given the go ahead for the Bald Explorer and the Lovely Julia to set up shop and transmit an hour long broadcast from the grade 1 Georgian terraced property in Brunswick Square, Hove. You may recall the personal guided tour Paul kindly gave me last week; check out my video here: Regency Town House Tour

This is a great opportunity to spread the word about our respective projects.  By harnessing the power of social media and live streaming we aim to create a buzz about the collaboration and show off the wonderful work undertaken in Hove. This one-off special will feature interviews with many of the skilled volunteers who turn up each Thursday and put in a full days work authentically restoring the 1820s house to its original design.

Paul Couchman, also a specialist in historic foods, shall be conjuring up special recipes from that period for us to sample to bring context to the dining experience encountered both upstairs and below stairs at the beginning of the 19th century.

The 19th May is also the Regency Town House’s Heritage Open Day. Members of the public can book tickets to view the house and learn more about the restoration project. Information about all their events are on their website: http://www.rth.org.uk/

Julia Hartley-Neal and I will be in costume to host the show, so I hope you will join us live on The Bald Explorer’s Facebook page on the day.
