In today’s video I am treading in the footsteps of one of my viewers, Glen Johnson, who stalked the woodland above Horsham in search of Hawkesbourne Castle – a fortified moated manor house built, apparently, BEFORE the Motte and Bailey Castle a mile to the south.
I have trouble keeping the woodland path marked on old maps and the OS map. There is no private signage, so I leap into the unknown for my quest.
