Exploring the heritage of Duncton Hanger!

Lime Kilns, chalk hills, beech trees and ancient track-ways make up the landscape of Duncton Hill, a few miles south of Petworth in West Sussex. I am climbing the dizzy heights of this formidable section of the Southdowns to have a brief exploration of the Victorian industrial history and well as a stroll through the glorious woodland.

I shall be back in the coming months to make more videos about the village of Duncton and its history, including a more detailed look at the lime kiln. For now I am just getting the lay of the land.

Join me for a steady climb.
