It’s the first day in January 2021. It may not be raining, but the ground is muddy and the temperature is just above freezing point, but I am out for a stroll. I start at Patching church, in West Sussex, and make my way westward through the Angmering Estate woodlands on a circular walk of about 2.5 miles.
