A Visit to St Hubert’s Church in Idsworth, Hampshire

Today I meet up with the lovely Liz Housden to visit the chapel that once belonged to Earl Godwin, the father of Harold who fought in the Battle of Hastings in 1066!

The church is now called St Hubert’s but its original dedication was to St Peter. It stands, aloft, swept up onto a curve of chalk downland, in splendid isolation.
