Today I meet up with Shropshire nature enthusiast, Marc Petty, who has agreed very kindly to take me to Fenn’s Whixall and Bettisfiled Mosses National Nature Reserve.
This a vast area, they say visible from space. I am keen to learn about peat bog. My limited knowledge is that of the old Pathe News Reel footage of men digging the peat for fire heaths.
