Grinding Flour at Burton Water Mill near Petworth

As part of my series exploring the village and locality of Duncton, near Petworth in West Sussex, I visit the fabulously restored Burton Mill. I met with Barry Flannaghan and his wife, Chris, who own and operate the mill on opens days and for enthusiasts for special occasions.

In today’s video I learn some of the history of the old Burton Estate Mill including how it not only ground corn for flour, but generated electricity of the big house and was utilised as a saw mill.
