From St Mary’s to Heswood Common in Fittleworth

Julia and I are still exploring the area around Fittleworth in West Sussex. Our walk today takes us from the beautiful parish church of St Mary’s, up over an old sand quarry, which now appears to be a bowling Green and on to the delightful, part wooded, part open, Hesworth Common. The pinnacle of the walk is the arrival at the viewing bench beside the Trig point. The view up here is breathtaking.
