A Stud, a Wood and a Field of Stubble.

Today I am in Kirdford in West Sussex, a few miles between Petworth and Wisborough Green. Kirdford is a delightful, almost forgotten village with it’s timeless old fashioned country houses and surrounding farmland.

I am taking a three mile circular walk from the Half Moon Pub in the centre of the village through and around the local stud farm and beautiful woodland, over small streams and back across freshly harvested fields. It just so happens to be an August bank Holiday with open blue skies. Lovely!
